Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life! Two things will last after it’s over – the love you share, and your beautiful photos. Keep in mind that weddings rarely run on schedule (and that’s ok!), so it’s best to book more hours than you think you’ll need. Below is a sample 8 hour timeline, indicating the time frames I’ll need to effectively capture all the gorgeous details and special moments of your wedding.
Sample Wedding Timeline – 8 Hours
45 min – groom prep & details (shoes, tie, cuff links, etc.)
45 min – bride prep & details (dress, rings, shoes, invitations, etc.)
30 min – bride & groom first look or individual portraits of bride & groom
30 min – wedding party portraits
30 min – family portraits
30 min – ceremony
40 min – travel or buffer time — so important to build this in!
30 min – bride & groom portraits (cocktail hour begins)
30 min – reception details (bride & groom enjoy cocktail hour or break)
20 min – intros, first dances, toasts
30 min – dinner
30 min – bride & groom sunset or night portraits
90 min – dance floor/reception including cake cutting, grand exit, etc.
